About
the Site
the Site is: creation
Started in November of 2002, stillmotion.net found
its home after living inside my head for some time. It was composed
entirely for sharing and collaborating ideas with two friends of mine.
It has since evolved into a personal pursuit to find something.
The site itself is hosted on a Linux box in some far away place. HTML
is too tedious to write in notepad anymore, so Dreamweaver helps me
arrange everything while keeping me sane. Sadly the finer points, such
as PHP, are still done by hand.
The main body of the site is run by MovableType. It allows me to collect
my thoughts and arrange them as I see fit. Hurrah MovableType!
Most pictures are scanned from my 35mm. Most video is shot with my DV
cam and edited with Vegas Video or Avid Xpress.
All ideas come from my head, while inspirations range from everything
everyday.
StillMotion is captured contradiction.
